Swami Pratyagbodhananda attains Maha Samadhi

Swami Pratyagbodhananda, our dear Swami P, attained Maha Samadhi on September 19, 2020. Swamiji had been a great source for spiritual seekers of the Syracuse community. He had been quite fond of our town and town folks. He was, is, and will be guiding us always. When we think of Swami P, we can’t but remember his bright and beautiful smile, always greeting us and remembering everyone he has met. He was the epitome of humility and unconditional love. When he narrated Bhagavatam, he had the uncanny ability to take the audience with him to the time period of narration. He was a great bhakta and his discourses were filled with bhakti rasa, making us all partake in the oasis of devotion. With great kindness, he agreed to narrate entire Bhagavata Purana, all of 18,000 verses. We had a fantastic start and Swamiji’s last discourse was on Vamana Avatara. One consolation was that he was here in Syracuse for the First Anniversary of Jnana Mandir and we were able to spend quality time with him in person. It is our great honor and privilege to have known such a mahatma, always willing to give. He is still guiding us from beyond. We had ‘In Memory of our Beloved Guru’ Part I, and Part II compiled with Swamiji’s words, songs, and disciples’ words to help us heal and have a closure. Brhm. Suryaji has offered to continue the saga of Bhagavata. With Ishwara’s grace, the program continues…

Harih Om, Shri Gurubyo Namaha, Harih Om!!!
